PCRA ICRA

how can knowledge sharing be made easier, more accessible and inclusive ?

When approached by Green Advantage, a prominent US-based green credentialing organization to refine their worker training and certification curriculum, PCRA ICRA, we spotted a significant gap. Conventional text-heavy materials were not connecting with migrant construction workers who may have language or educational barriers.

We pivoted our approach, crafting a communication strategy centred on simplicity. With our three step strategy we first gathered all the complex information into smaller pockets with a solid structure. We then carefully created visuals explaining the content making it easier to understand. Finally, we chose colours that were friendly to the colour blind and used patterns and textures to reduce reliance on too many colours.

With this came a series of easy to understand illustrations strategically designed for synchronous and asynchronous training formats. Through user-friendly graphics, imagery, and colour choices suitable for colour-blind individuals, we made technical information accessible and engaging.
